Inventory Accountant Description Inventory accountants are responsible for tracking and managing the inventory of a company. They commonly work with physical goods such as raw materials, finished products, or other supplies that are used to create a product or service. Inventory accountants use their knowledge of accounting principles to ensure that all transactions related to inventory are properly recorded in an organization’s financial records.
