Job Description:

  • Creating and processing requisitions, inquiries and purchase orders according to the work flow in BS Purchasing
  • Ensuring cost-effective forwarding of purchases to vessels
  • Invoice verification and follow up
  • Ensure that all records are correct in BS Purchasing

The Purchasing Team is responsible for vessels procurement under full management

The Purchasing Team is particularly responsible for:

  • Arranging the supply of necessary stores, spares and lubricating oil
  • Arranging for the sampling and testing of bunkers and lubricating oil
  • Assisting the Contract manager in negotiating and preparing purchasing contracts with preferred suppliers and monitoring the contractual terms
  • Oversee the purchasing requirements of the Fleet Management Team and negotiating with the various suppliers

Skills

General requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years work experience or University Degree in Marine Purchasing.
  • Excellent knowledge purchasing software
  • Command of the English Language
